Our Minister
Dr. B. Steven McNeely

A native Mississippian, Steve McNeely received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and his Master’s and Ph.D. Degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the thirty-two years in which he has served as a Minister, Steve has served churches in Kentucky, Mississippi, Maryland, and Virginia. Teaching has been a devoted avocation, and Dr. McNeely has served for four years as instructor at Mississippi Baptist Seminary in Jackson, MS and for sixteen years as adjunct professor at the Ecumenical Institute of St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, MD. Special areas of interest in his ministry have included guiding programs of growth in Christian discipleship, building ecumenical and inter-racial community, and leading congregations in responding to human need in Jesus’ name.
Steve's wife Suzanne has a Master Degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore and has enjoyed working in a variety of positions with several social service agencies. She also enjoys playing the piano, reading, and writing.
Steve and Suzanne are the parents of two Children: Adam, who works as a computer analyst for T. Rowe Price in Owings Mills, Maryland, and Carol, who lives in Elkridge, MD, where she attends Howard Community College and is actively engaged with the school's theater department.
